The Inspiration

My latest weaving project is inspired by my recent visit to Santa Fe, New Mexico attending a MEA (Modern Elderhood Academy) “Owning Wisdom” Retreat facilitated by one of the founders and Sherpa of Midlife, Chip Conley.  The MEA Rising Circle Ranch brought me to my knees in awe of its beauty and rich wisdom radiating from the land and the people.

My time there was a reckoning of sorts for me in the most profoundly beautiful way.  In the company of 25 truly remarkable humans (that will be in my life forever more), my path forward crystallized and the “Tapestry of Life” (ToL) was born.  This project embodies my deep gratitude for MEA, Chip and The Owls.  And the emergence of ToL.

It is the making of a prayer scarf for Chip honoring The Owls and our experience on the Rising Circle Ranch.  It will also include 25 spirited mug rugs for each Owl from our tribe.  I’m excited to bring you along with me on the journey of the making.  Within this work lies an invitation to reflect on the ancient wisdom of weaving to explore the tapestry of your life. Stay tuned, so much more to come… next up the balling of the Skeins.
